Everyone here at H & L would like the express our deep condolences to the friends and family of Park Ranger Jeff Christensen. He will be greatly missed. Thank you to all of the volunteers and search and rescue personnel that dedicated their time and resources in the effort to locate Jeff. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank all those involved with the preservation of our Parks and Wildlife, your continued service is very appreciated.

On a less somber note. The D.O.W. is asking for public opinion regarding fishing regulation changes both statewide for warm water species and more specifically Southeastern Colorado. The schedule for these meetings is as follows:

August 15, 2005- Trinidad State Jr. College, Sullivan Center.

August 17, 2005- Burlington, Colorado. Route Restaraunt.

August 31, 2005- Lamar D.O.W. office @ 2500 S. Main.

Sept 8-9, 2005-    Lamar D.O.W. office @ the above address.

All meetings will begin @ 6:30pm
